Motorola devices that will be getting Android Marshmallow (6.0)

Following are the smartphones that will be getting Android 6.0 (Marshmallow):

Moto X Pure Edition
Moto X Style
Moto X Play
Moto G (Gen 3)
Moto X (Gen 2)
Moto Turbo
Moto G (Gen 2)
DROID Turbo
Moto MAXX

Android Marshmallow is all set to debut next week on Google's Nexus smartphones, and is soon expected to roll out to other Android smatphones too. Motorola has become the first manufacturer to announce its plans for Marshmallow update roll out and has published on its blog a list of smartphones that are scheduled to get the OS.
While not many expected that first-generation Moto X and MotoG smartphones to get Android Marshmallow, it comes as a surprise that the company is not upgrading either of the Moto E models to the new Android version as well. This means that buyers of the second-generation Moto E, which was released just a few months ago, will be left out in the cold.

Although the Motorola-made Nexus 6 is not named, it will get the update next week, along with other Nexus phones.

Despite announcing which phones will be upgraded to the latest version of Android, Motorola has kept the timing of the rollout under wraps. Instead, the company only said that details on the time frame will be revealed "in the coming weeks."

Also, the company further announced that it will be doing away with some features that are very identical to Android features. So, the users who get Marshmallow updates can bid goodbye to Moto Assist, Motorola Migrate and and the Google Chrome extension found in Motorola Connect and it is very sad for them too !
